January 2017 reflective paragraph
It has been a great experience serving as the Classroom Culture Specialist for Woodson K-8, and documenting my journey on this blog . I have been able to support my peers and come up with creative interventions to support their challenges and to help them build a positive classroom culture. To date, many of the teachers that I support, have seen a decrease in referrals and off task behaviors. During observations, I have observed students smiling and enjoying the learning process! Teachers look forward to the forums where we share ideas, they learn new strategies and interventions and bond/build relationships. I look forward to taking on this challenge again in the future if given the opportunity. Thank you Career Pathways for allowing me to take on a leadership role without leaving the classroom. Thank you Dr. Lancaster for your continued support and wealth of knowledge throughout this process. Thank you Ms. Greene, for allowing me to take on this role as well as mentor, grade chair, and CIC at Woodson K-8. As a result, I feel more empowered and ready to take on more leadership opportunities in the future!
