HOW TO ACCESS MAS

Where to find MAS and Password Log onto Portal using Internet Explorer and use the password that does not change every 90 days. Under APPLICATIONs click on MORE at the bottom. Click on Mentor Activity System. Make sure you are not using Chrome. If you have worked here, for more than 2 years, it is your old password you used to log on to the employee portal (for example, to see your paycheck when it was still on the employment portal). It is the one that does not change every 90 days. It was also the one you used for e-TRAIN. If you have not worked here for more than 2 years, you will use HISD Application Credential. Employees receive two automatically generated accounts: Network Credential & HISD Application Credential. The Network Credential is what your laptop uses and the password changes every 90 days. MAS uses HISD Application Credential. Initially the User login ID for both: type “p” followed by two zeroes, then your 6-digit employee ID Number (ex. P00987654). The default Application password was your 6-digit employee ID number and the last 4 digits of your SSN. Try this first. Teachers were asked to change this default Application, however if you do not remember the new password, email ServiceDesk@Houstonisd.org and ask them to reset your HISD Application password (not the Network Credential).
